February 6th.  Thanks to all who donned their green eyeshades to confirm that our records are in compliance with all
requirements.

VALENTINES DAY DINNER:

Our Council hosted a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner on February 13th at the Heartland Grill restaurant in Dayton.
28 Brother Knights, wives, children, and guests (including Tennessee State Council Programs Director Jim Bruun
and his wife, Doris) enjoyed a fun evening of good food and fellowship.  Special thanks to Council Trustee Jerry
Waterbury who coordinated the event.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS:

Deacon Tom Kiefer led several Brother Knights, family members, and fellow parishioners in the Stations of the Cross
on March 2nd as part of our Council’s support of St. Bridget Church Lenten activities.  Council members also helped
decorate the church for this season of reflection.

COUNCIL SUPPORT OF PARISH YOUTH:

A check for $50 from our Council was presented to this year’s St. Bridget Church Confirmation class on March 4th to
help them procure their class gift to the parish.  Thanks to Brother Knights Tony Gervolino and Fr. Jim Vick who are
getting the class ready for this special sacrament.

STATE CONVENTION DELEGATES:

Grand Knight Doug Schott and Financial Secretary Frank Szot were selected by the Council as delegates to attend the
upcoming Tennessee Knights of Columbus State Convention in May.

The Council will host an extended Eucharistic adoration opportunity on a date to be determined in April.  The
adoration time period will be from the end of a Saturday evening Mass to the beginning of the following Sunday Mass.
All Brother Knights and family members are invited to participate.

GRAND KNIGHT’S REPORT

14 Brother Knights attended the Council 11424 February monthly meeting on February 18th.

As you can see from the extensive event list above, our Council continues its support of family, parish, and youth
activities, with other events such as lake outings and baseball games yet to come.

All of these events are made possible by Council members who are willing to offer a few hours of their time to give
something back to their faith community.  To all of you (and your families) who have helped support our worthy
projects and special events:  THANK YOU!

To those of you who might have been too busy to help out with recent events, please consider this an invitation to join
in preparations for the upcoming activities > your help is needed and will be appreciated.

Finally, as Spring is nearly upon us it will soon be time to select our Council leaders for the coming fraternal year.  I
ask that each of you give prayerful consideration to offering your services in one of the Council’s elected or appointed
positions.

Vivat Jesus!

Very respectfully,

Doug Schott,
Grand Knight, Council 11424
St Bridget Church, Dayton, TN
